We wanted to take a moment to announce several exciting developments that have happened at Frenchman River Model Works over the past few months.
First, back in December of 2025 we acquired a line of kits and products designed by Thomas Yorke from the early 2000’s and are currently working to organize and get these kits back into production. There are some amazing kits including the Frijole Flats series that we are excited to offer.
Secondly, we recently were able to acquire the line of Thomas Yorke kits being offered by Scale Model Masterpieces as well as the California Freight line of detail parts. Some of these Thomas Yorke kits in this latest acquisition go back to the 1970’s. Many of these kits have inspired several generations of model railroaders, myself (Jim) included. We are looking forward to getting these iconic kits updated into resin and back into production. Also, we are enjoying working with Thomas Yorke as he continues to create amazing kits to inspire future generations of model railroaders.
Additionally, we are reorganizing the Frenchmanriver.com
website to make room for all of the incoming structure kits and detail parts.
We have also acquired the scalemodelmasterpieces.com website and are working to
update and reorganize that as well. Thank
