1:48 Scale The Barn Find
designed by Thomas Yorke
"I remember going down a long, winding country road last summer. Rounding a bend and crossing a small stream. A little way farther along I passed a small church and the cemetery. The air was hot and muggy, and the birds seemed to be holed up in their homes. All was quiet. Then around another bend, just on the left, was a small barn. It was circled in a ring of barbed wire fencing, but there was no gate. I pulled over to take a few photos. No one was around. There was an old antique tractor in the lean-to along with a litter of car parts and other cast-offs. The barn door was slightly ajar. I walked inside. It looked like it hadn't been moved in maybe 40 years. The barn smelled musty, but what a find! I took a few photos and left to try and find the owner. Not a person for miles. The only problem now is, I've tried, but I don't remember where that barn was. How many of us have memories such as that? I wonder if the car is still there..." -Thomas Yorke
