Every mining town needs an assay office to assess samples from the mines to determine the value of the ore. This wooden false front building will be right at home in many scenes starting with a mining town and continuing to any number of projects. This building would be an ideal starting point for many storefronts in a wide range of time frames. This stone foundation would also be an ideal starting point for any number of scratch built buildings. Use your imagination, there are tons of possibilities for this kit.

The Assay Office can be built on a slope using these stone foundation pieces or it can be placed on a flat.

"This is the second kit in the Frijole Flats series (with the first being Dr. Gordon Painless Dentist). The original artwork for this one showed a roof over the front walkway, however, I liked it much better without, so this kit does not come with one. It is an easy thing to add should you want one.
