The law firm of Williams, Shakerton & Speare invested in
a building located downtown in Stinkwater Crik. The main level storefront is rented
out to Yorick who runs a quirky used book and manuscript store where many
obscure manuscripts and first editions can be found. Next door is the quaint
flower shop run by Ophelia. Beautiful arrangements can be found for any occasion; however, Ophelia tends to specialize in sympathy arrangements. Even though Yorick and Ophelia appear to be polar opposites, in the end they have more in common than you might think.
These 2 small brick shop buildings are a perfect addition to your downtown main street. Built in the 1890’s these would fit into any time frame up until current times. You can build them as newer, rundown or renovated according to your preference. The used book and manuscript shop is a brick building that boasts a set of bowed front windows to showcase the used book store on the street level and the attorney’s offices on the second story. An exterior covered stairway along the side of the building can be placed on either side which will allow you to place the flower shop on one side or the other. The flower shop has an ornate wooden front with interesting architectural details on the front. This is a shallow brick building with a metal clad cooler on the back side. The difference in depth on the 2 buildings gives lots of opportunities to detail the alley.
